Welcome to WSPRA - the State's Leader in School-Community Relations!

The Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) is a professional association representing schools, school districts, educational associations, consulting agencies and organizations. WSPRA is a state affiliate of the National School Public Relations Association.

In 2006, WSPRA received NSPRA's Distinguished Chapter Award as the top chapter in the nation for its "commitment to advancing education through strong school communication."  In both 2007 and 2008, WSPRA received NSPRA's Distinguished Single Project Award and honorable mention for the Distinguished Chapter Award.

Survival Kit for School Professionals


It is important for school professionals to be able to answer questions quickly and accurately.  Having answers "at your fingertips" is critical.  An easy way to make this happen is to have a loose-leaf binder or flip chart as a ready reference.  Items to include?

  • School calendar with all pertinent dates
  • Enrollment figures for district and schools
  • Bus schedules
  • School schedules (important when calling middle and high schools)
  • Crisis plans
  • School district personnel
