Barbara Fleming is a graduate of UW Madison where she received both a B.S. and M.S. degree in social work. From 1982-1997 she served as an elected member of the Brown Deer Board of Education, serving five of those years as school board president. Following board service she served for two years as a consultant to the school district in the area of community relations. In that capacity she chaired the community’s Sesquicentennial Celebration. For the past 6 years Barb has been employed by the school district as a community services specialist. She manages communications and community relations for the school district. She is a board member of the Historic Granville/ Brown Deer Chamber and Community Association and chairs the annual fall Business and Community Expo. She is active in various community organizations. For the past four years Barb has served as WSPRA’s program coordinator managing the annual fall conference and the WSPRA luncheon at the Joint State Convention in Milwaukee.
