Sheryl Miller has been with the School District of Janesville for the past 18 years. She was appointed as public information specialist in 2004-2005. Previously she served as the community involvement coordinator for 15 years. Sheryl has long list of state/national involvement and accomplishments. She was a member of the Wisconsin PTA Board of Directors for 14 years and served as State PTA President, as well as a member of the National PTA Board of Directors.

Her commitment to children and education has been demonstrated through her work on numerous statewide committees such as: PI-34 Teacher Licensure, Governor’s Educational Partnerships, Governor’s Task Force - Learners Outcomes and Assessment, CESA - Site Based Management, Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Restructuring, and DPI – Building Healthy Communities through Collaboration.

Sheryl is a member of the Janesville’s ATODA Steering Committee, Pupil Nondiscrimination, Virtual School, Health and Wellness, PI-34 Committees, Child Development Days, and oversees the district’s ten Family Resource Centers.

In addition to her state level efforts, Sheryl is very active in city and county organizations. She served as president of the Rock County Retired Volunteer Program, the Janesville Literacy Council, and as Chairperson of the United Way's Volunteer Network. She represents the district on Exchange Family Resource Center and United Way Committees. Sheryl is a member of NSPRA and has been a WSPRA member since 1990.
