Get ready for a "PR Road Trip"!
We're heading to the Heidel House Spa & Resort in Green Lake, WI for the 2023 WSPRA Fall Conference, Nov. 8-10!
As part of this valuable professional development and networking event, we are seeking presenters for our breakout sessions. We would like you to share your knowledge, skills, and stories of success. Below are some topic ideas to consider (but other topics are welcome to be submitted as well):
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion - better engagement with diverse and minoritized audiences or equitable family & community engagement, keys to multilingual communication, etc.
- PR/communication tactics - interpreting digital data, beginning and advanced Canva (tips and cohesive branding), media relations, podcasts, free/cheap tech resources for newbies, videos, best practices in internal and external surveys, newsletters, etc.
- Leadership - building the brand/role of school communication in your district, crisis communication (scenarios, strategies and plans), communication plans, navigating your first years in school PR, developing branding guides, etc.
- Community engagement - engaging various stakeholders to develop meaningful relationships, build trust and transparency, and collaborate on district initiatives and issues.
- Social media - tips, strategies, and tools, etc.
Proposals that are interactive in nature are a priority. Break-out sessions are 60 minutes in length. Proposals are due by Friday, July 21, 2023.Selected presenters will be notified by Friday, August 11, 2023. Presenters are required to register for the conference and be available to present on Thursday or Friday.
